Fourth State Electronics is a small, independent hardware maker. The FSE 1 is our first product.

It was designed by a touring keyboardist who is also a reliability engineer with two decades of experience. He wanted a small system he could pack in his keyboard case, plug in anywhere, and program on the fly at practice, on the road, or in a hotel room at 2 AM. No laptops to boot up or complicated software to learn. No wall of Eurorack cables that come loose in the middle of a set. Nothing on the market fit: MIDI controller keyboards meant giving up the real keyboard he wanted to play, and everything else was too large to sit on top of it. So he built the FSE 1. Every unit is hand-built in small batches, individually tested before it ships, and engineered to strict reliability standards. If yours has a problem, a real person answers the email, usually within a day.
